The 13th CE #LadyChapel is in the East of #BristolCathedral. Built of red sandstone in an Early English style it stands out from the rest. Restored in the 19th CE, the #Reredos is 14th CE, but the vaulted #Nave was rebuilt by the #Architect #GeorgeEdmundStreet to follow #Gothic form, that respect the delicate proportions of the early work so it appears to be of the same era.

After the #GreatFireOfLondon in 1666, which destroyed two-thirds of the city, Wren was responsible for rebuilding 52 churches including his masterpiece #StPaulsCathedral: completed 1710

Open to visitors & prayer #StClementDanesChurch was 1st built a 1000 years ago by #WilliamTheConqueror & again in the Middle Ages. Destroyed by the Great Fire of #London in 1666, the #Church standing today was completed in 1682 by #Architect Sir #ChristopherWren. Gutted during the #Blitz of #WW2 it was restored by the #RAF & re-consecrated in 1958. #StrandAldwych

The #Brighton #SealLife centre has the largest collection of Sharks & Rays in the UK, plus turtles, jellyfish, coral inhabitants & other forms of life. Opened in 1872, the #Aquarium was designed by Eugenius Birch, the #Architect responsible for the #WestPier. Bombed during WWI the design changed during reconstruction in 1929, then restored in 2012. #VisitBrighton
