Named Poets of feeling & thought, they project our motto #SancteEtSapienter Holiness & Wisdom. Many pause here between lectures & languages, & sense in stillness & stone, #KCL values of dignity, thought & courage #KCLInternationalLife

Originally named College Building, King's Building is Grade I listed & part of #KingsCollegeLondon #StrandCampus. Designed by #Architect Sir #RobertSmirke in 1829 to complete #SomersetHouse 2 marble statues of #Sappho & #Sophocles are in the foyer to symbolise the University’s motto “Sancte et Sapienter” Holiness & Wisdom #StrandAldwych https://www.kcl.ac.uk/visit/strand-campus
