Sir #CharlesWheatstone was an English #Polymath & self-taught #Physicist #Inventor, who made important contributions to #Physics, #Electricity, #Acoustics & #Optics. Appointed Professor of Experimental #Philosophy at #KingsCollegeLondon in 1834, he applied the #ScientificMethod Sir #IsaacNewton defined during the #AgeofEnlightenment, to early 19th CE philosophical problems.

Highly-respected English #Architect, #Anatomist, #Astronomer, #Goometer, #Mathematician & #Physicist, Sir #ChristopherWren is best known for his architectural work in the English #Baroque style. After the #GreatFireOfLondon in 1666, which destroyed two-thirds of the city, Wren was responsible for rebuilding 52 churches including his masterpiece #StPaulsCathedral: completed 1710
