#Edwardian

Beyond its poised facade, the #VictoriaPalaceTheatre hides a rare & opulent #ArtNouveau interior. #FrankMatcham’s design greets audiences with a beautiful marble foyer. Lavish ornamentation, plush red seating & intricate plasterwork chased with gilded curves, immerse audiences in an #Edwardian #Baroque aesthetic - one of the #WestEnd’s most eclectic theatrical experiences.

#HaggerstonBaths in #EastLondon provided #Haggerston’s residents with public access to warm water facilities for washing & swimming. Designed by #AlfredCross, the #Edwardian pool hall opened in 1904 & closed in 2000. Despite campaigns to refurbish & re-open the site, the derelict pool halls remain frozen in time – a reminder of #LostLondon’s #CulturalHeritage & #Hackney’s past.
