#AllaHorska’s Mosaics #LifeTree & #Kestrel in #Mariupol were destroyed in 2022 by a #RussianMilitaryStrike. For 30+ yrs they were secretly hidden behind false walls, by city architect #VasylBocharov & artist #ValentynKostiantynov, to save them from Soviet authority demolition. Rediscovered in 2008, these 1960s monumental mosaics exist in memory only #AllaHorskaMosaic
