Marked a ‘Ukrainian Bourgeois Nationalist’ most of her #Kyiv work is gone. Not born into #UkrainianCulture, #AllaHorska chose it. Daughter of the #SovietElite, she was an #Artist & #SovietDissident associated with the 1960s #UkrainianUnderground & #Sixtier movements, a generation who reawakened Ukrainian nationalism within the #SovietIntelligentsia. For this she was killed, aged 41. Her life: resistance in colour. Her death: #PoliticalAssassination
