On the bank of the #RoyalDocks East London #MillenniumMills served as a Flour Mill. Built in 1905, its concrete #ArtDeco facade is an icon of an industrial age. Closed in 1981, its perished shell saw 20th CE progress & was a #FilmLocation in #DerekJarman's #TheLastofEngland. Marked for development into offices & flats, it reflects #LostLondon’s working-class #IndustrialHeritage

#CharingCross station was the original terminus for the #JubileeLine when it opened in 1979, but when the line was extended in 1999 to serve #CanaryWharf, the trains were re-routed & they do not stop there anymore. Behind locked doors, these platforms are frozen in time. A #FilmLocation for movies #Skyfall & #Paddington, special tours let visitors explore this #AbandonedPlaces.

Not just a #HarryPotter #FilmLocation, #Glenfinnan is where #CharlesEdwardStuart aka #BonniePrinceCharlie hoisted the rebel flag & started the #JacobiteRebellion in 1745. After weeks of lobbying the Clans to join him, he raised his ad hoc Standard with only 200 men at #LochShiel. The Rebellion failed, but left a mark in the #HiddenHistory around us.
