The #Monument of King #MatthiasCorvinus in Cluj-Napoca #Romania celebrates the rule of a Superpower. As King, Matthias waged war in Europe; he introduced an 85% tax that led to rebellion & with no successor, his conquests were lost within months of his death. Yet Matthias lives on in #Folklore, a fair & just King who roamed in disguise amongst the people to deliver justice.
