#MatthiasCorvinus King of #Hungary & #Croatia. Upon the death of his Father Matthias, aged 13, was imprisoned by King #Ladislaus the Posthumous. A rebellion forced Ladislaus into exile & when he died, Matthias was proclaimed King in 1458, aged 14. After forming one of the first professional armies of #MedievalEurope he dominated Hungary & was elected King of Bohemia in 1469.
