On #GuysCampus, the #HodgkinBuilding honours #ThomasHodgkin, physician, pathologist & pioneer of preventive #Medicine. In 1832, he identified the disease that bears his name #HodgkinsonsDisease. At Guy’s, he introduced the stethoscope & taught that medicine & the cure starts with listening. Future doctors now walk #KingsCollgeLondon halls he helped shape #KCLMedic #GuysHospital

A statue of #ThomasGuy stands in the heart of #GuysCampus, he was a 17th CE bookseller & philanthropist who founded #GuysHospital in 1721 to realise his radical vision to care for “incurables.” Today, his statue watches over a campus of medical learning, reminding us that lasting change & impact can begin with a single act of compassion #KingsCollegeLondon #KCLMedic
