#Grade2Listed the #GroveGardensChapel boasts a unique cruciform structure formed from stone & several ornate decorations inc. a stained glass panel portraying scenes from the Bible. Built in 1877 in the #GothicRevival style by #ArthurBlomfield as the #RichmondOldCemetery chapel, structural decay caused by #ClimateChange is being restored by the charity group #Habitats &Heritage.

North of the #RoyalAlbertHall , inside #KensingtonGardens you will find this stalwart remembrance commissioned by #QueenVictoria in 1872, in dedication to her late husband #PrinceAlbert , who died in 1861 aged 42. Designed by #GeorgeGilbertScott , this #GothicRevival pavilion enshrines a gilt-bronze statue as an immortal reminder of his status as an innovator across Europe.

Originally the headquarters of the #PublicRecordOffice , it was built in 1851 by the architect Sir #JamesPennethorne . Famed for its #GothicRevival architecture & strong-room design, it is the UK’s 1st purpose-built fireproof archive known as “The strong-box of the Empire.”

The tall ‘protector’ towering in London’s #Strand district, the #LawCourts was designed by architect #GeorgeEdmundStreet in the #GothicRevival style & is one of the largest #LegalCourts in Europe. Author #ReginaldTurner once described these halls as the last great ‘secular’ #GothicRevival building, soak up the atmosphere – you’re walking in hallowed halls!
