Starting in a common room in 1873, the #KingsCollegeLondon #StudentUnion has relocated 3 times. The rising #KCLSU population after WW2, forced a move to the #CheshamHotel, renamed #CheshamBuilding after the University acquired it in 1945. It is now settled in the #MacadamBuilding, named after #IvisonMacadam, the founding president of the #NationalUnionOfStudents #KCLSUAction

#KCLSU opened its doors to women for the first time in 1915, at a time when the number of male students was falling due to #WW1. The #StudentUnion at #KingsCollegeLondon faced collapse. Women rose to the challenge & organised events, started societies & kept the Union alive. Their leadership transformed campus life & proved that leadership knows no gender #KCLSUAction
