Starting in a common room in 1873, the #KingsCollegeLondon #StudentUnion has relocated 3 times. The rising #KCLSU population after WW2, forced a move to the #CheshamHotel, renamed #CheshamBuilding after the University acquired it in 1945. It is now settled in the #MacadamBuilding, named after #IvisonMacadam, the founding president of the #NationalUnionOfStudents #KCLSUAction

#IvisonMacadam founded the #NationalUnionOfStudents in 1922, uniting student leaders across the UK & Ireland under one organisation at #UniversityCollegeLondon. Born 1894, he served as an Army Major during WW1 & the Ass. Director General / Ass. Secretary to the #MinistryofInformation in WW2. The 1st #NUS president, the values he shaped guide #KCLSU leadership today #KCLSUAction
