An equestrian statue of the 1st #DukeOfWellington by #JosephBoehm stands on #HydePark corner, facing #ApsleyHouse which was his #London home. An earlier statue of the Duke stood on #WellingtonArch but it was considered too big & moved to #Aldershot in 1883. Boehm’s depiction of the #IronDuke on a campaign is not to be confused with the #WellingtonMonument 150 metres away.
