The #VictoriaPalaceTheatre wasn’t always so grand! In 1832, #JohnMoy opened a modest concert room above the stables at the #RoyalStandardHotel. By 1850 it was known as “Moy’s Music Hall” & in 1863, renamed the #RoyalStandardMusicHall. Long before Matcham’s famed #ArtNouveauTheatre project of 1911, it was a humble venue above a tavern, serving musical entertainment to locals.
