At the heart of the #Holburne #Museum is the collection of Sir #WilliamHolburne 1793-1874, who embarked on a historic #GrandTour of Europe, which sparked a like-long passion for art. He particularly loved silver, bronzes, porcelain and Dutch landscapes. Over 4,000 items have since been added inc. miniatures, embroideries and portraits by some of the greatest 18CE artists.
