Long before the monument was erected, the sacred land of #KhortytsiaIsland was home to egg-shaped #Temple-s built by the #Trypillia culture over 4K yrs ago. In 2007, Ukraine unveiled a monumental #Pysanka here, to honour this ancient symbolism. Its red-white-black motif blends #Zaporizhzhia #Folklore with meanings of fertility, fire & family, drawing pilgrims here to pray.
